Amazon Tests AI-Aided Dubbing for Prime Video Content
Amazon is testing artificial intelligence-aided dubbing for select movies and series on its Prime streaming service.

The AI-assisted dubbing will be available for licensed titles that previously lacked dubbing, such as the 2003 animated film "El Cid: La Leyenda." The service will initially support English and Latin American Spanish.

Amazon said the programme will take a hybrid approach, allowing local professionals to collaborate with AI to ensure quality control. The company will roll out the feature for 12 licensed titles in the initial phase.
Other tech companies have also introduced AI-powered dubbing. YouTube launched a feature last year that enables content creators to translate their videos into multiple languages. In September, Meta announced it was testing an AI tool to automatically translate voices in Reels.
