Apple Announces Finalists For 2024 App Store Awards
Apple is once again honoring some of the best apps and games of the year.
The iPhone maker on Monday, 25 November revealed the finalists for its annual App Store Awards, which recognises apps and games with exceptional user experience, design, and innovation from developers across the world.
The 45 finalists from across 12 different categories were chosen by the App Store’s global editors. This year, two new categories were also introduced for the Apple Vision Pro, highlighting achievements in the world of spatial computing.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate this year’s App Store Award finalists, whose imagination and craftsmanship have produced amazing apps that users love,” said Carson Oliver, Apple’s Head of Worldwide App Store.
The App Store Award winners chosen from each category of app and game developers will be announced in the coming weeks.
For iPhone App of the Year, the finalists are Kino, a camera app that lets you create cinematic video using color presents; Runna, a running companion app that helps you set training plans; and Tripsy, a travel app that allows you monitor expenses and share your itinerary with friends.
Meanwhile, for iPhone Game of the Year, the finalists are AFK Journey, The WereCleaner, and Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ).
For the two newly introduced Apple Vision Pro categories, Apple nominated a total of six finalists. For Apple Vision Pro App of the Year, the finalists are JigSpace, NBA, and What If…? An Immersive Story. Meanwhile, for Apple Vision Pro Game of the Year, the finalists are Loóna, Thrasher, and Vacation Simulator.
