This integration is part of a broader implementation of AI-powered tools in the recent updates to the operating systems of iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers.

The inclusion of ChatGPT, which was revealed in June during the Apple Intelligence announcement, enables the Siri voice assistant to leverage the chatbot's knowledge, particularly on user inquiries related to photos and documents like presentations. Users can also utilise ChatGPT to generate written content in any app supporting the new Writing Tools feature and leverage its image creation capabilities to add visuals.

This development comes at a crucial time during the peak holiday shopping season, which is Apple's most profitable sales period annually. Concerns have been raised among investors due to the gradual rollout of Apple Intelligence features, impacting the strength of the iPhone 16 sales cycle.

The AI functionalities will be accessible on the latest iPhone series, as well as the Pro and Pro Max variants of the previous iPhone 15 lineup. Additionally, users of iPads with A17 Pro or M1 chips and newer models, along with Macs featuring M1 chips and later versions, will also have access to these tools.
