Belkin BoostCharge Pro 140W Wall Charger Review I Four Ports One Head?!

What impressed me the most about the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 140W 4-Port GaN Wall Charger is its immense power.

Belkin BoostCharge Pro Products

As one of the highest wattage wall plug chargers on the market, the Belkin BoostCharge Pro boasts support for the most recent PD 3.1 standards. The charger has three USB-C ports and one USB-A port. Depending on your needs, you can use one of its four USB-C ports to charge even the most power-hungry laptops, or you can distribute the power across the ports to four different devices as well.

Belkin 4 Ports

Measuring 9.6 x 7.59 x 2.54 cm and weighing 360g, the BoostCharge Pro is a sizable charger made of hard plastic. It comes in white and has a rectangular cuboid shape. While able to output immense power, its large size is really the only downside. Despite its large size, it remains a capable option for users with high power charging needs or those looking for something suitable for travel. In our tests, the charger did live up to its promise of charging our MacBook Pro from 0-50% in 28 minutes. Having four different ports will definitely come in handy.

BoostCharge Pro Capability

The three Type-C ports can send out a total of 130w. If we plug in a MacBook to the first port, we get 100w, but we could also charge two MacBooks at 65w each. If we plug in a third device, the second and third ports will share the 65w and send out 45w and 20w, respectively.

After some research, we have also learned that the charger comes with interchangeable plugs, but they’re exclusive to the U.S. versions.

Changeable Adapter

The plugs are pretty easy to switch in and out as you simply have to press a small button on top of the charger to release them. Having this option compliments travel too. Carrying a single charging head to feed all your devices is better than carrying four! It would be great for you if you travel often with your laptop and other devices. However, we did not manage to get our hands on the other plugs.

The charger’s size is what might turn off some users, especially those who prefer more portable and compact options. It’s, however, worth reiterating that the BoostCharge Pro 140W delivers unparalleled power output. The charger is available directly from popular e-commerce stalls or other retailers for S$199.

Belkin 240W Cable

Meanwhile, the 240W Belkin USB-C Charger is a powerful option for fast charging a variety of devices. Featuring dual E-marker chips, it can charge a MacBook Pro 14” from 0-50% in just 31 minutes thanks to its 240W of power output. Safety is not compromised either, as an Over-Temperature Protection feature prevents overheating during heavy usage. Both the aluminium cable head and double-braided nylon cable have durable designs as well - the former feels cool to the touch, while the latter has been tested to withstand over 30,000 bends without signs of wear.

Belkin 240W Cable

In addition to fast and safe charging, this versatile USB-C charger also supports a wide range of compatibility options. Whether you need to quickly fuel up a MacBook, Chromebook, iPad, or smartphone, this charger is capable of fast charging your USB-C devices. It also has certification from USB-IF to ensure reliable power delivery that complies with USB 2.0 standards. Retailing at S$39.90, it is pretty pricey, but it definitely proves itself in terms of its capabilities.
