CMF Watch Pro 2 Review : Cheap But Premium?

Nothing under its CMF by Nothing brand has released the second generation of its CMF Watch Pro smartwatch.

CMF Watch Pro 2

The CMF Watch Pro 2 builds upon the capabilities of the original model, while maintaining the core features that made the first generation a decent option in the budget smartwatch segment. The CMF Watch Pro 2 features a circular design, a departure from the square shape of the previous model.

The CMF Watch Pro 2 sports a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a pixel density of 352 PPI. The screen is sharper than the previous model, and outdoor visibility is decent thanks to the 620 nits of peak brightness. Users can adjust the brightness manually or enable auto-brightness to adapt to different lighting conditions.

CMF Watch Pro 2 Heart

The watch offers a variety of health and fitness tracking features, including a 24-hour heart rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, and accelerometer. The single crown button on the side allows for easy navigation through the user interface and various functions. It also carries an IP68 water resistance rating, so it can withstand light water exposure.

CMF Watch Pro 2 Bezel

One of the standout features is the interchangeable bezels, which allows you to customise the look of the watch.

The CMF Watch Pro 2 connects to Android 8.0+ and iOS 13+ devices via Bluetooth 5.3. It supports features like voice calling, music controls, and remote camera shutter, among others. The calling experience is reported to be decent indoors, with the microphone capturing voice well, though the speaker performance may be lacking in noisy outdoor environments.

CMF Nothing OS

It runs on Nothing OS, which provides access to a range of health and fitness tracking tools, as well as other built-in apps and features. It definitely has a smooth and responsive user experience but there aren't quite a lot of apps available, and you won't be able to install third party apps on it.

Dials For Watch

The watch face customisation options are impressive, with over 100 watch faces available to choose from directly through the watch app.

Battery Life

The watch can deliver up to 11 days of battery life on a single charge. This is a notable improvement over the previous generation, which promised around 7 days of usage. It is priced at SGD$119, positioning it as a budget-friendly smartwatch option. While it may not offer the same level of features and performance as more premium smartwatches, it presents a decent value proposition for those looking for a capable wearable on a tighter budget.

Overall, the CMF Watch Pro 2 is a solid successor to the original model, with incremental improvements in design, display, and battery life. It may not be a groundbreaking smartwatch, but it will provide a satisfactory experience for users looking for a capable and affordable wearable device.
