Former Huami Employees Unveil SATELLAI, a Satellite Pet Tracker, at CES 2025

The pet tech industry is booming, with the smart pet wearable market reaching an estimated $1.72 million in 2024. Stepping into this lucrative arena is a new player, SATELLAI, founded by former Huami employees. At CES 2025, SATELLAI showcased its cutting-edge pet tracker and smart collar, offering features like health monitoring, activity tracking, and an AI coach accessible through a companion app, providing tailored guidance on pet care and training.

Mark Mao, CEO of SATELLAI and a former Huami employee, was inspired to create the innovative pet tracker after a personal experience with his injured dog. The smart collar boasts seven sensors to monitor the pet's health, including breath and heart rate, ensuring comprehensive care for furry companions.

Setting itself apart from the competition, SATELLAI's tracker utilises a Qualcomm 9205S modem, enabling direct satellite connectivity without relying on terrestrial signals like LTE. This groundbreaking feature ensures continuous location tracking, even in remote areas with no nearby cell towers, making it a standout in the market.

Moreover, the SATELLAI collar comes with a harness equipped with a solar panel for convenient recharging while the pet wears it. The collar's dual signal transmitters for L1 and L5 signals offer enhanced accuracy in crowded environments, such as areas with many obstacles where signals may bounce off trees or walls.

In addition to these advanced features, SATELLAI's smart collar includes virtual fencing capabilities and various correctional feedback options to curb unwanted behaviours like excessive barking or approaching restricted areas. The company's commitment to innovation and pet safety is evident in the thoughtful design and functionality of their products.
