Android Authority discovered code in the Google app (version 16.7.21.sa.arm64) that references Xiaomi alongside other brands that currently offer a Google One Premium trial. The trial includes Gemini Advanced, Google's AI-powered assistant.

Samsung, Pixel, and Motorola devices are also mentioned in the code. While the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is not specifically listed, its expected launch next week suggests it may come with a bundled Google One subscription.

Google’s Gemini Advanced offer varies by smartphone brand. Pixel users receive the most extensive promotion, with Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro owners getting a 12-month free trial of the AI Premium plan, valued at USD 240 per year. This plan includes Gemini Advanced, 2TB of Google Cloud storage, Nest Aware (U.K. only), and Fitbit Premium (U.K. only).

The duration of the free Google One AI Premium trial depends on the smartphone brand:

  • Pixel 8a buyers receive 12 months free

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 buyers receive six months free

  • Motorola Razr 50 Ultra buyers receive three months free

Xiaomi buyers are expected to receive between three and six months of Google One AI Premium, with Google reserving the longest free trials for its own devices.

Google is expanding Gemini Advanced to more smartphones as part of a broader strategy to familiarise users with its AI-powered software. The company has also integrated Gemini with multiple device brands and offered discounts on Google One AI Premium for Verizon customers.

Additionally, Google has enhanced the capabilities of its Circle to Search feature, which now allows users to identify music, translate text, scan QR codes, and conduct image searches. The feature requires minimal processing power, making it accessible on a wide range of devices.

Rumours suggest Google Gemini could be integrated into Siri after replacing Bixby on the Galaxy S25. Adding Xiaomi to the list of supported brands further strengthens Google's AI presence. However, most Xiaomi users in China will not have access to Google’s AI technology due to restrictions on Google Play Services in the country.

  • Pixel users receive the longest free trial, with up to 12 months of Google One AI Premium.

  • Samsung and Motorola devices also receive limited-time free trials.
