Google is preparing to expand its Gemini Advanced AI offerings with new subscription tiers, according to hidden code discovered in the latest Google Photos app.

The unreleased plans, currently named “AI Premium Plus” and “AI Premium Pro,” suggest Google is exploring additional ways for users to access its most advanced AI tools.
At present, Gemini Advanced is only available through the Google One AI Premium plan, which costs USD 19.99 per month.
The new tiers were uncovered by Android Authority and appear alongside the existing “Premium AI” plan and other non-AI Google One subscriptions, such as the “Lite” tier revealed last year.
No pricing or feature details have been confirmed for the new plans, and the names may change before launch. However, the inclusion of “Plus” and “Pro” in the titles suggests they may offer more features than the current Premium plan, likely at a higher cost.
Google has already announced plans to introduce a discounted annual version of the current AI Premium subscription. This annual plan is expected to retain the same name and is unlikely to be related to the new tiers.
The current Google One AI Premium subscription includes 2 TB of cloud storage, access to Gemini in Gmail and Docs, NotebookLM Plus, and enhanced AI features in Google Photos.
The new tiers could expand or modify these offerings, potentially adding features such as higher limits or improved quality for AI-generated video clips using Google’s Veo 2 tool.
These new subscription levels could also serve as a way for Google to monetise users who receive free AI Premium access through bundled offers with premium smartphones like the Pixel 9 Pro or Samsung Galaxy S25 Series.
More information about Gemini Advanced and its subscription plans is expected at Google I/O next month.
