Google Unveils Pixel 9a With ‘Best Battery Life’
Google has launched the Pixel 9a, the latest addition to its A-series smartphones.

The Pixel 9a features a 6.3-inch display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, making it the brightest A-series Pixel to date, according to Google. It comes in four colours: obsidian, porcelain, peony, and iris. The iris colour is new to the lineup, replacing wintergreen, which is now exclusive to the Pixel 9. The phone's rear is made of a composite plastic material with a matte finish.

The device includes a redesigned camera bar, which is now almost flat and positioned in one corner instead of spanning the phone’s width. It has a 48-megapixel main camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a reduction from the Pixel 9’s 50-megapixel and 48-megapixel cameras. Macro focus is available on an A-series phone for the first time.
Google claims the Pixel 9a has the best battery life of any Pixel device, lasting more than 30 hours on a single charge or up to 100 hours with Extreme Battery Saver mode.
The Pixel 9a is also the only smartphone under S$1,000 to feature Gemini Nano, Google’s AI assistant. The AI integrates with Google apps such as Maps, Calendar, and YouTube to enhance multitasking. Pixel 9a will be available in April, with prices starting at S$799 for the 128GB model and S$939 for the 256GB model.
