Indonesia and Apple Reach Agreement to Lift iPhone 16 Ban
Indonesia and Apple have agreed on terms to lift the country's ban on iPhone 16 devices, with a deal expected to be signed as early as this week, according to Bloomberg News.

Indonesia banned the iPhone 16 in October after Apple failed to meet local regulations requiring at least 35% of smartphone components to be locally made.
To address the issue, Apple plans to invest USD 1 billion in a manufacturing plant that will produce components for smartphones and other products. Additionally, the company will provide training for local workers in research and development through new programmes beyond its existing Apple academies.
Despite these commitments, Apple has no immediate plans to manufacture iPhones in Indonesia.
