However, its high production cost has limited its use to industries such as aerospace and medicine. Yttrium can purify titanium, lowering production costs and improving its application in sustainable technologies. However, microscopic impurities left by yttrium could affect titanium’s durability, posing a challenge that researchers must overcome.
