Google’s upcoming Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro smartphones may differ more in colour than in hardware, according to newly leaked design details.

The leaks suggest Google is continuing its trend of offering more vibrant colour options for its standard Pixel models, while reserving more subdued tones for the Pro versions.
The Pixel 9 series followed a similar pattern, with the Pixel 9 available in bold Peony and Wintergreen, while the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL came in softer Rose Quartz and Hazel. Both lines also included Porcelain and Obsidian for classic white and black options.
Leaked wallpapers for the Pixel 10 family reinforce this approach. The Pixel 10 is expected to feature a broader and brighter colour palette, while the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 wallpapers show more muted, single-tone shades.
The recently launched Pixel 9a, available in Iris and Peony, also supports the trend of vibrant colours for lower-tier models.
Google appears to be positioning the Pixel 10 Pro as a performance-focused device, with a more understated design. The company seems to believe that users who prioritise power prefer a more subtle aesthetic.
While third-party cases can add personality to the Pro models, they may also increase the size of the already larger Pro and Pro XL handsets.
