The South Korean tech giant brought with it new kitchen, laundry and living solutions to the annual consumer electronics tradeshow at Berlin, Germany. The new products can not only help you reduce your utility costs but also shrink your carbon footprint.

Among the products announced is a new front-loader washer and dryer pair that can clean your laundry without running up your power bill, with the former having an A-40% energy rating and the latter having an A-20% rating.

The washer even includes an artificial intelligence (AI) feature that detects the weight and type of fabric of your load and selects the optimal wash cycle for you. Selecting this option lets you protect and extend the lifespan of your clothing by up to 10%.

There's also a specialised cycle that prevents up to 60% of microplastics emissions from laundry cycles from entering the water supply.

The dryer similarly uses AI laundry weight, fabric types and moisture content to optimise drying time and temperature. But if you're in a rush, there's the TurboDry function that takes advantage of the Dual Inverter Compressor to hasten drying speeds.

Both the washer and dryer come equipped with an LCD touch control panel.

Meanwhile, LG's new bottom freezer refrigerator is also energy efficient, with an A-20% rating. The fridge is powered by the company’s Smart Inverter Compressor, which adjusts speeds based on actual conditions. The compressor also generate less noise compared to others in its class.

Other features of the fridge include LG’s LINEARCooling, which keeps temperature fluctuations within ± 0.5 degrees Celsius and DoorCooling+, which delivers fast and even cooling to every corner of the fridge.

Staying in the kitchen, LG also has a new oven and dishwasher. The new 24-inch built-in InstaView oven features optimised heating and a four-layered glass door, a combination that the company touts can conserve energy while reducing heat loss.

Lastly, the new LG QuadWash dishwasher has an A-10% energy efficiency rating thanks to power-saving Inverter Direct Drive Motor. It also connects to the LG ThinQ app via Wi-Fi, allowing you to monitor operations and resolve issues remotely.

All of the above-mentioned products will be showcased at LG’s "Net-Zero House" at IFA 2023 (Hall 18, Messe Berlin) from 1 to 5 September 2023.
