These enhancements include the integration of AI video capabilities and real-time language translation functionality. Initially revealed during the annual Connect conference in September, these features are now accessible to members participating in the "Early Access Program."

The introduction of the v11 software update, commencing its rollout on Monday, brings a host of new capabilities to the smart glasses. Among the key additions is the incorporation of video into Meta's AI chatbot assistant. This advancement enables the Ray-Ban smart glasses to interpret the user's surroundings and provide real-time responses to inquiries.

One of the standout features of this update is the live translation function, allowing seamless speech translation between English and Spanish, French, or Italian. Meta explained, "When you're talking to someone speaking one of those three languages, you'll hear what they say in English through the glasses' open-ear speakers or viewed as transcripts on your phone, and vice versa."

In addition to these enhancements, Meta has also introduced Shazam to the smart glasses, enabling users to identify songs effortlessly. This feature will be accessible to users in the United States and Canada, enhancing the overall user experience of the Ray-Ban smart glasses.

Back in September, Meta had announced its plans to equip the Ray-Ban smart glasses with various AI-driven functionalities, such as tools for setting reminders and the ability to scan QR codes and phone numbers using voice commands.
