If you’ve always wanted an iMac Pro, you’ll need to buy one now while stocks last.

Apple has recently confirmed that they will be discontinuing the production of the iMac Pro. They included the phrase “while supplies last” on the top of the iMac Pro’s page in their online store and removed its configuration options.

The iMac Pro, formerly Apple’s “most powerful Mac ever,” has not seen a major hardware update since its release in 2017, although it did have minor hardware tweaks according to macrumors.com.

Macrumors also advised potential customers to not buy an iMac Pro due to its obsolete hardware when compared to the latest 27-inch iMac. The most expensive 27-inch iMac comes with a 3.8GHz 10th-generation Intel i7 processor and a Radeon Pro 5500 XT with 8GB of GDDR6 memory among other improvements. The iMac Pro, on the other hand, has a 3.0Ghz 10-core Intel Xeon W processor with a Radeon Pro Vega 56 with 8GB HBM2 memory.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported in January 2021 that Apple was planning on redesigning the iMac for the first time since 2012 in order to use their own processors.
