Xiaomi announces a stellar range of new products last night, including their latest smartphones in the Mi 11 series – Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11i and Mi 11 Lite 5G (and 4G). Besides the smartphones, they also introduced two other smart products – their fitness wearable, the Mi Smart Band 6 and a new smart home cinema, Mi Smart Projector 2 Pro.
Mi 11 Ultra
Following the announcement of Mi 11 Pro, Xiaomi brought in a variety in the Mi 11 series to cater to different categories of users. The top of the line Mi 11 Ultra is a ‘Beast’ of a smartphone on steroid. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and has a quad-curved 120Hz AMOLED display. According to its release, comes with a 5,000mAh battery and it is able to charge from 0 to 100% in just 36 minutes (67W turbo charging), either wired or wirelessly.
The phone also comes with a 50MP camera sensor, which Xiaomi claims that it is currently the largest in any smartphone. All three rear cameras allow you to shoot videos up to 8K @ 24fps, and there is also a dual-phone recording mode which you can use to shoot one video with two Mi 11 Ultras concurrently. This may be a game-changer for content creators, who can certainly appreciate a “second camera”. In case you didn’t notice, there is a small screen on the back, which works well as a mirror for those who fancy taking selfies using the main camera. Not only that, it also works like a always-on display, especially if one places the phone face down.
Mi 11 Ultra will be available at approximately SGD$1,900 for the 12GB + 256GB variant.
If SGD $1,900 is too much to spend on a phone, the new Mi 11i also runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, but at almost half the price of the Mi 11 Ultra. Mi 11i packs a flat screen display with its premium glass body, with a slim 7.8mm thickness.
Its 6.67” AMOLED DotDisplay features the smallest punch-hole front camera and comes with dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, which is the first for Xiaomi phones. It also come with a decent 4,520mAH battery to target heavier users.
It will be available at recommended retail price SGD$1,029 (approximate) for the 8GB + 128GB variant.
Mi 11 Lite 5G and Mi 11 Lite
Catering to the young trendsetters, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G debuts the Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G and comes in a series of light muted colors. The ultra-slim and light design is definitely the highlight – at only 6.81mm thin and no more than 159g in weight. The phones boast a triple rear camera array and come with one-click AI cinema modes, making it user-friendly in taking professional and beautiful photos with no fuss.
