Nvidia CEO: Humanoid Robots Could Arrive in Factories Within Years
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang predicts that humanoid robots will be widely used in manufacturing within a few years, rather than five years as previously expected.

Huang made the statement on Tuesday during a keynote address at Nvidia’s annual developer conference in San Jose, California. The event took place in a packed hockey stadium as the nearly USD 3 trillion company unveiled new software tools designed to help humanoid robots navigate the world more efficiently.
Speaking to journalists after his speech, Huang was asked about signs that artificial intelligence had become ubiquitous. He responded that one indication could be humanoid robots moving around in everyday environments, which he believes is only a few years away.
Huang said the manufacturing industry is likely to adopt humanoid robots first due to its structured environment and well-defined tasks. He explained that factories provide a controlled setting where robots can be effectively deployed.
"I think it ought to go to factories first. And the reason for that is because the domain is much more guard-railed, and the use case is much more specific," Huang said.
He also highlighted the economic benefits of humanoid robots in manufacturing, estimating that the cost of renting a humanoid robot could be around USD 100,000.
