Oppo Reno 11 Pro Review : A Powerful Performer with Impressive Camera Capabilities
The OPPO Reno 11 Pro impresses with its novel design, flagship-level camera performance, and smooth gaming experience despite being a mid-range phone.
Design
The Reno 11 Pro has an eye-catching design with a curved back and 3D curved display that gives it a premium look and feel.
It comes in Pearl White and Rock Grey, with the both of them having a shimmering finish that prevents fingerprints and smudges.
Ergonomically, the phone is lightweight at 181g and thin at 7.59mm, making it comfortable to hold. The camera module protrudes slightly but does not add too much bulk. Build quality is solid with the use of three layers of glass on the back.
Display
OPPO equipped the phone with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen provides vibrant colours, deep blacks, and smooth scrolling. It gets sufficiently bright at 950 nits and has a wide colour gamut for an immersive viewing experience. The 3D curved edges enhance the screen-to-body ratio.
Performance
Powering the Reno 11 Pro is the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The phone delivered a lag-free experience during intensive tasks like gaming. It can handle multiple apps running simultaneously without any slowdowns.
Cameras
The rear camera system consists of a 50MP main, and an 8MP, 112° ultra-wide camera and a 32MP telephoto potrait camera. Photos taken on the main sensor are detailed with accurate colours during daylight.
Low light shots are average but still usable. The 32MP telephoto allows for clear zoomed-in shots. Video quality is good at 4K 30fps.
The standout feature is portrait mode, which produces images with natural bokeh similar to a DSLR.
Battery
With a 4,600mAh battery, the Reno 11 Pro lasted over a day on a single charge with 120Hz refresh rate enabled. Gaming for hours did not cause much battery drain. It also supports 100W SUPERVOOC charging that can fill the battery from 0-100% in just 35 minutes.
ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 provides a clean interface along with productivity features like File Dock for quick file sharing across apps.
Pricing & Availability
In summary, retailing for S$899, the Reno 11 Pro offers flagship-level imaging capabilities, smooth performance for gaming, and long battery life. It is a great choice for those looking for a capable camera-centric device at an affordable price point. While not perfect, the phone delivers overall value and could satisfy both photography and productivity needs.
