Quick impressions of the Oppo R17

Updated: Aug 18, 2021

It’s been barely three months since Oppo introduced its R15 handset and the Chinese phone maker is back with an improved successor, the R17. Is this the midrange smartphone to beat? Here are our early impressions.

The Oppo R17 is expected to make its way to Singapore in early October.

Oppo will also be introducing the R17 Pro in October in China, which will sport improved features such as a variable aperture camera, Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera which captures 3D details, Super VOOC fast charging technology and a more powerful Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor. It will retail for RMB 4,299 (S$860).
