Samsung Galaxy M22 To Launch in Malaysia, Has a 6.4-Inch AMOLED Display and a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC

Samsung will launch the new Galaxy M22 smartphone in Malaysia, with the handset shipping with a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset and a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Equipped with a 48MP quad-camera and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W Super Fast Charging, the smartphone can let you enjoy improved camera capabilities compared to its predecessor and continuous connectivity.

By using the 48MP main camera, you can capture bright and clear images at any time of the day. The 8MP ultra-wide camera enables you to take landscape shots with a 123-degree angle of view, while the 2MP depth camera allows the subject to stand out against the soft-blurred background. If you want to take close-up shots, you can use the macro camera to take pictures with great detail. The device also has a 13MP front camera for selfies.


Aside from making the most out of the cameras, you can enjoy smoother scrolling as the Samsung Galaxy M22's display has a 90Hz refresh rate versus 60Hz on its predecessor. When it comes to brightness, the smartphone can achieve up to 600 nits in High Brightness Mode that stays clear even when you're using the device under the sun.


If you're the type of person who is practically glued to your phone, then you might like the Samsung Galaxy M22 as its battery can support hours of entertainment and usage. The device also boasts an octa-core Helio G80 processor with as much as 6GB of RAM that runs smoothly no matter which app is being used.


There's only 128GB of storage on the phone, although that's expandable up to 1TB via a microSDXC card.


Out of the box, you can expect protection provided by Samsung Knox, which supports Android 11 and One UI. The smartphone also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a loudspeaker, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC connectivity as well as a 3.5mm jack.

With a recommended retail price of RM899, the brand new Samsung Galaxy M22 will be made available to Malaysians in the colours Black and Light Blue on the Samsung Online Store from 5 October 2021.
