As one of the leading countries for tech, Taiwan is home to many of these brands and they'll have the chance to exhibit their latest innovations at Asia Tech x Singapore 2023, a conference where discussions of tech intersect with society and the digital economy. The country's pavilion will be hosting showcases from 15 brands that have been awarded the Taiwan Excellence Awards.

Established in 1993 by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Taiwan Excellence Awards are given every year to outstanding products that pass a rigorous and stringent selection system assessing four major aspects: research and development, design, quality and marketing.

Eligible candidates should not only bring "innovative value" but must also satisfy the key criterion of being "made in Taiwan". Those selected serve as examples of domestic industries and will be promoted by the government in the international market to shape the creative image of Taiwanese businesses.

Taiwan Excellence's Asia Tech x Singapore 2023 pavilion looks to bridge up the bilateral ICT communities and foster more collaborations and partnerships between Taiwan and Singapore, along with other countries in the region. The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) sees the event as the ideal place to show the world Taiwan’s technological advancements and prowess as it tries to attract more technological partners and collaborators. The government office is also looking forward to fostering knowledge exchange and deeper partnerships with customers,

fellow innovators and members of the larger Information and communication technologies industry.

One such product that would be showcased at the event is Mio's MiVue J756D, a dashcam featuring dual-cam synchronised recording suitable for long-axis vehicles. It flaunts a minimalistic design that connects close to the ceiling and is tucked by the rear mirror to ensure it doesn't impact the driver's line of sight or peripheral vision.

The router was designed to further fulfil the dramatically increased demand for Edge security computing and CPE, driven by the ubiquity of mobile devices and their various usages.

Last but not least is Planet's Layer 3 Industrial 10Gbps Managed Ethernet Switch, an industrial automation and smart city-capable switch. It is the world’s first Layer 3-managed switch with a full-port 10G/5G/2.5G/1G transmission rate. The transmission distance can be extended to 120km and has the potential to solve insufficient bandwidth problems, supporting both 5G NR and Wi-Fi 6/6E APs connectivity by providing wireless and wired networks alike with ultra-high-speed transmission suitable for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and telecom network deployments.
