The Chinese tech giant announced today the launch of the Redmi 12, a budget-friendly release with some worthwhile specs and features.

The Redmi 12 sports a 6.79-inch FHD+ DotDisplay panel with 90Hz Adaptive Sync. The display is the largest so far in the Redmi series, delivering a viewing experience that works for reading, watching videos and gaming. It's also SGS Low Blue Light certified and features Reading Mode 3.0 to lessen strain on users' eyes during prolonged periods of use.

For cameras, the device has a triple-rear system that consists of a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. It also includes several popular filters that allow users to enjoy pixel-level calculations and real-time previews.

The Redmi 12, as Xiaomi touts, is also comfortable to grip, flaunting a premium glass back and being only 8.17mm thick. It's also designed to withstand everyday use thanks to its dust- and splash-proof IP53 rating.

The storage capacity can also be further expanded up to 1TB. The device also ships with a 5,000mAh battery that can last up to 23 days on standby.

Other key features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Type-C connectivity and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The 4GB+128GB option of the Redmi 12 is available exclusively on Shopee for S$209, while the 8GB+256GB option is available via Authorised Xiaomi Stores and official retailers in Singapore for S$239. Colour options include Midnight Black, Sky Blue and Polar Silver.
